Why Tolerance of Chutzpah?

Nurit Greenger
In the preamble of the United Nations (UN) charter (http://www.un.org/en/documents/charter/preamble.shtml) it states that one of the reasons the organization was founded was in order to give mutual respect to every sovereign nation, of whatever size.
When the Arabs refused and still refuse, to accept the sovereignty of the State of Israel they should have been expelled from the UN.
What gave the Arab countries the right to refuse to recognize a sovereign state, in this case Israel?
How dare they go against the United Nations’ charter and refuse to recognize Israel while remaining members of the UN?
What puzzles one even more is how can Israel find herself, 65 years later, in a position in which the Arabs [“Palestinians”] and Saudi Arabia deliberating whether they are going to accept the Jewishness of the Jewish State? If this is not an outrage than what is?

The fact that the world does not understand that it is an outrage is because Israel has not been saying every day, of every week, of every year: You owe us unconditional acceptance of who we are as a state and we are not paying anything for that acceptance. After all that is what Israel owed priori. And the world, including hypocrites like J Street, is at fault here.
How Israel can find oneself in such a position so many years later? One of the answers is that we, Jews, seem to have this notion, just like J Street and Shimon Peres, and other culprits, that we are accommodators and adapters, that sticks and stones will break our bones but name calling, well, will not hurt us, so what, do not recognize us, who cares. Is this very debonair or what? It is not political realism, which J Street and other bodies dealing with Israel are lacking.
One has to ask for justice on one’s own behalf before you can ask other people to join you when asking what your due is.
First you must have the sense that this is your right and this is owed to you. You demand it.
So let us see Israel demanding her rights and dues without paying for it, over and over again. Zero tolerance to the intolerable, starting by end of April when Israel, again, is planning to release Jew murders and thus paying the price for the Arab chutzpah and contempt.
